3 Ways To Hear From Heaven

Notes

John 16:13

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

  • The Holy Spirit is a person with a personality

  • The Holy Spirit is not an “it”

1 Thessalonians 5:23

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • You are a spirit, you have a soul, you live in a body

  • The voice of your spirit is your conscience

  • The voice of your soul is reasoning

  • The voice of your body is feeling.

Romans 8:14

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

Romans 8:14 TPT

The mature children of God are those who are moved by the impulses of the Holy Spirit.

  • Mature children are called sons/daughters

  • Sons/daughters are led

  • How are we led?

  • Inward light - green light, red light, etc

  • Inward voice - instructions, steps, etc

Follow Your Leaders

Hebrews 13:17

Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.

  • Listen to those who lead you

Matthew 9:36

But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

  • Sheep without a shepherd are tired, divided, and moving in all directions.

  • The people need a pastor

Jeremiah 3:15

And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.

  • Pastors are a personal gift from God to you.

  • The pastor's call is to feed the flock with knowledge and understanding

  • “Understanding” in the verse can also be translated as prosperity.

Jeremiah 23:4

And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the Lord.

  • Having a shepherd in your life ensures that fear, anxiety, and lack no longer have a hold on you.
