What to do when you get discouraged?
Encourage yourself:
Jesus is first in my life.
I exist to serve and glorify Jesus.
I am growing closer to Jesus every day.
I am anointed, empowered, equipped and called
I am creative, innovative, driven, focused, and blessed beyond measure
I take all negative thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ.
I wake up with purpose, direction, and meaning every day of my life.
The world will be different and better because I served Jesus today.
I am a child of God.
I am a masterpiece.
I am chosen.
I am disciplined.
God upholds me, protects me, defends me and strengthens me.
I am joyful.
I am gentle.
I am not easily offended and will not hold on to bitterness.
I am patient.
I am faithful.
I am self-controlled.
I am kind.
I am steady.
I am not alone—God is with me.
I am loved.
I am confident and bold because God is with me.
I am free.
I am healed.
I am rich!
I am unashamed.
I am strong.
I am fearless.
I am not a people-pleaser
I am born again.
I am more than a conqueror.
Because of Jesus, I lack nothing.
God has given me everything I need, to do what He’s called me to do.
I speak encouraging, life-giving words and build others up.
I will not compare myself to others
I will love and laugh rather than fight and complain.
I refuse to waste my life on meaningless things.
I will fight the good fight of faith
I am a son of the King
I lay down my selfishness
I fight for purity, guarding my eyes from tempting situations.
I finish what I start.
I never give up!
Encourage someone!
2 Corinthians 7:5-7 NLT
6 When we arrived in Macedonia, there was no rest for us. We faced conflict from every direction, with battles on the outside and fear on the inside. 7 But God, who encourages those who are discouraged, encouraged us by the arrival of Titus. 8 His presence was a joy, but so was the news he brought of the encouragement he received from you. When he told us how much you long to see me, and how sorry you are for what happened, and how loyal you are to me, I was filled with joy!
Encouragement will usually come in the form of a person
1 Samuel 23:16 NLT
Jonathan went to find David and encouraged him to stay strong in his faith in God.
Romans 1:12 NLT
When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.
